Maggie Martini-Minieri

Director of Athletics  

Maggie Martini-Minieri is the Director of Athletics at Trevor Day School in New York City. She holds a BA in Communication Studies and an MS in Sport Administration from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. Before joining Trevor, Maggie served as the Associate Athletic Director for Student Services and Senior Woman Administrator at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY. She has also worked with organizations such as Super Soccer Stars and Monmouth University.

Matthew Johanne

Assistant Athletics Director

Matthew Johann is an accomplished volleyball coach with extensive experience at various collegiate programs. He currently serves as the head coach for both the men's and women's volleyball teams at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, a position he has held since the fall of 2022. Johann's coaching career also includes roles with the USA High Performance Volleyball program and the Downstate Juniors Volleyball Club, where he served as head coach, recruiting coordinator, and social media manager.  

Kevin Doherty

Lower School Physical Education Teacher  

Kevin Doherty is a Lower School Physical Education Teacher at Trevor Day School in New York City. Originally from Donegal, Northern Ireland, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from C.W. Post. Before joining Trevor in September 2015, Kevin served as Head Soccer Coach at both the East Islip Soccer Club and the Massapequa Soccer Club. He is drawn to Trevor for its close-knit community and the opportunity to share his ideas while watching children become confident and self-sufficient learners.  

Monica Lorenzo

Director of Health, Wellness and Physical Education and Certified Athletic Trainer  

Monica Lorenzo serves as the Director of Health, Wellness, and Physical Education at Trevor Day School in New York City. Before joining Trevor in 2012, Monica worked as an athletic trainer for the New York Knicks Entertainment Teams and the Radio City Rockettes. At Trevor, she has developed programs promoting mindfulness, beneficial habits, science-based exercise, and lifelong fitness across all divisions.
